Well she did an all-nighter last night to more-or-less catch up, just about to kayak across Loch Lomond for Ben Lomond.

I've not been following it in detail Gus but I'm sensing from your posts so far that she seems to be building up a lot of sleep deprivation very early on in order to stay with her schedule. Is this really sustainable for what will be at least another 3 and a half weeks? It's one thing effectively going without sleep for 3 or 4 days but even the likes of Jasmin seem to be at their limit after that long.

Yes, it would appear that way to an outsider ff, but I don't know much about her, no idea how she normally operates.
Her speed on the hill, comparing similar sections, is definitely quite a bit slower than Donnie was, so unless she is carrying some sort of small injury which is slowing her down, then to set off on the schedule she has, then she must be confident that she can do these long days, back to back to back....... time will tell.

I think I'd have been more surprised if she could travel at anything like the pace Donnie manages. There are very few that can. So as you suggest she must have planned the schedule knowing that it meant long days with little sleep if she was to keep to it and have had confidence in her ability to do that. But it will be mightly impressive if she can keep doing it for a month because it seems to be extreme even by the standards of those that do it well over a few days (e.g. Jasmin and Sabrina).

So far she has also had excellent settled weather to assist, which does look like continuing. Hopefully she feels slower progress for longer days is sustainable for her physiology.

Maybe she has a plan B that she's not published, that she's still be happy with ( eg anything under 40 days would be absolutely amazing ), that she will switch to at some point once plan A too unsustainable - I suppose the danger is that the longer you push yourself on Plan A there's a chance you completely exhaust yourself and plan B then becomes impossible.
Or maybe she's one of those poeple who will start slower and fitness will build as she progresses

Is she taking more frequent, shorter naps rather than one longer sleep every day? Thought maybe she took a few hours rest before starting the Crianlarich 7. Looking like another long night out if she's still trying to stick to Plan A.

Think it was about 3 hours rest at Beinglas Farm, after the cycle up the loch side. Started the climb at 6pm, just at the 2nd summit, 5 more to go, including some big climbs.......... guesstimate for back down at Benmore Farm - 4am, 5am ??

Ended up being a 7:30am finish not sure if there were any snoozes on the route, or moving the whole time. Set off again at 11:45am, so after allowing for food at both ends of the break, changing, wash, etc, then 3.5 hours sleep max, probably less. Another long day ahead if trying to stick to plan..............Ben Lui 4, Bridge of Orchy 5, Ghaordaidh
