I decided that today I will walk a couple of miles to ease the legs a bit. As of yesterday I am just over 66 miles (running and walking) for the month, do am doing ok.

running everyday can be more tiring on the legs than running longer on less days with days off in my experience

Vixx - I am well outside my comfort zone on this and, like you (assuming your training log is a reflection of your running), I have taken on something I have never before achieved. It could be very scary!

I am trying really hard not to think about the scale of the whole thing and I am focusing almost entirely on running 150 miles in May. Later months can take care of themselves for now.

Even today, after a pleasant 10-miler, I have still not made up for the missing first four days of May and that is weighing on my mind too, the fact I am not even up with the required "average" line. (Like those lines they superimpose over Olympic swimming races to show where the world record breaker would have to be!)

I suppose we will all adopt our own approach to this. I am surprised how much of a "mental" thing it has become already. I even wake up in the night thinking about how many miles I am going to need to run the next day! Hang on in there and take it one day/one week at a time!

Synge - my training log is indeed a reflection of my running. It is all logged here in Fetchland :)

I'm generally a steady streaker. I want to get back to regular marathons if I can (did the vast majority before I had surgery in 2013 (not running related) and have only done a few since then) as I had a dream to join the 100 marathon club.

I have never done weekly mileage like this so am prepared to mix running and walking miles as I build up fitness.

With walking, and despite the mental block this morning, I have managed 7.5miles. Quite pleased with that.
