The absolute best rugby tour I ever went on was to Llanhilleth in 1993. The rugby club was a 3-storey building, centre town, and was the size and location of a Town Hall, whilst the rugby pitch was in the valley floor (on the only flat bit). The placing of the clubhouse speaks volumes about the importance of the game in the community. So much more than a game. A way of life. The pitches were often shared and only ever where viable.
