So in this case, either North, South, or West. Perhaps I can rename them the Gold, Silver, Blue and Red relays. They still need a direction attached or they could wander Bedfordshire forever . Sam Jelfs could have picked up the East baton, taken it to Meriden, and seen how far back east it could get in one shift.
