Re: Footsie. I'll forgive you, for a lot of people it was their first introduction to Northern Soul, totally manufactured of course. It came out on the Pye Disco Demand label and they put a "real" NS record on the flipside in an attempt to give it some credibility. In fact, here it is:
Sole claim to NS fame? Used to roadie for a rawk band. When they played Wigan Casino, long queues built up outside as the gear was packed in the van. All very orderly - many clutched small holdalls.
