To quote from the WHO: "Alcohol is a toxic, psychoactive, and dependence-producing substance and has been classified as a Group 1 carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer decades ago – this is the highest risk group, which also includes asbestos, radiation and tobacco." who.int |

That’s horrifying @Sigh Strange that the multi-billion drinks industry doesn’t make that known |

Of course DT, forgot about your particular experience, sorry. Was a copy and paste from NHS link.

I didn't have anything to drink on Monday night. Yesterday morning's run seemed much easier and comfortable than most of late. When I left work at the end of the day I didn't feel so tired. I didn't have anything to drink last night. This morning's run was hard work. There are always many factors in the equation. However, the one thing that was the same was that on both those days my HR was lower for the same effort than it usually is. Any day soon I will start dropping a few pounds, getting ripped, and turning into an athletic powerhouse. |

I haven't drunk for 19 years and I have many sh*t run days Dio. Sorry, I can't give any guarantees in that direction! G

Well done on 6 years DT, in so many ways you are inspiratoinal! Unfortunately the gains from not drinking with regards to my running seem to be offset by getting older :), however being alive and able to still run is somewhat of a compensation!!! Great posts recently :)! |

Congrats on 6 years DT 🎉 So many good benefits of giving up alcohol today, thanks for posting guys. My main benefit is always knowing what I did and said the night before and not waking up with anxiety. |
