Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have real trouble finding earphones that I get on with. I'm starting to think I have odd shaped ears.

Here's what I can't get on with:

1) The ones that wrap around the back of your head in a curve
2) The 'plug' ones
3) The ones that you get with an iPod

I found a great pair in Tesco a while back - made by some crap Tesco brand - they were amazing, ear clips and they NEVER fell out. But now they seem to be discontinued 'cause I can't find them anywhere.

I think I have small ears but refused to spend £30 on Sennheiser ones earlier that are 'specifically made for smaller ears' as they looked bigger than the normal ones!

What's everyone's experience? I really don't want to spend any more than £15.

Disclaimer: I wear these for training, not racing so if you're looking for an argument, sod off ;-)

Also, I think there are 2 problems here:

1) The things don't sit snugly enough in my ears, I always feel I want to push them in further but can't
2) The wire, because it's so long, drags the things out of my ears even if I tuck the surplus wire into my sports bra

So annoying >:[

Just about to try the 100th pair - some different Tesco-own-brand ones (I trust them now since I got on so well with the last ones) - just put them in and already I can hear additional backing vocals and stuff, it's looking good.... now to see if they stay in....

I use ones similar to these:

Not had any problems with them falling out or being uncomfortable.

The cable dragging them out can be prevented by clipping the cable to your collar. I have some headphone specific clips that came with the headphones, but the same could easily be achieved with a suitable small hair clip.

Don't you just hate people who wear earphones in races.

I wear headphones in races, I find that playing a track of an ambulance siren wailing means that the real thing won't distract me :)
