This is my tallest - sown in a large pot with another seed, I should really have kept only one. It's 1.7m now, so it's grown 4 inches since I posted two days ago!
And this one is self-sown, presumably from the one I grew last year sown directly into the ground [planted about 20 seeds and only one survived the attack of the killer molluscs]. About 1.6m, so even more growth since Tuesday.
I have other tiny ones sown in what I think must have been really really bad seed compost. They're about 50cm tall! Not doing that again.

I have three at about 5 foot tall. The runt/fourth seems to have split and did suffer from a slug attack.

My tallest is about 5 foot now, the other one has started flowering already. Next year I will plant them in the front garden, and start earlier. I started too late this year...

I saw a load growing next to a shed in front of Winchester Cathedral last Saturday, they must have been about 9' high. My biggest one is about 3 1/2' high. I'll get a photo of it one day.
