Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Preschool/nursery bugs never end! It was a tricky start getting H settled there as well but he loves it now (he's done a year now) School applications are all done for September now :)

Been lucky with injections here, he never seems to get really affected by them, but it can definitely give some little people a temperature for sure.

Our boy has been watching too much Swashbucklers recently, he thinks he is a pirate now *shrugs*

We are term time only Lesley obv as it's preschool. School holidays trying to work are 'interesting' (I'm a typical Mon-Fri office hours role) Nobody has enough leave in the world to cover school holidays!!!

Master T is definitely still in the wrong time zone. Up again at 4am and convinced it's play time rather than sleepy time.

Master T slept for 10 hours last night. He must finally be back in the right time zone, a week after getting back from our holiday!

It takes time for adults to adjust to time zones never mind wee ones. Glad things are improving.

My boy sleeps ok most nights, he has the odd night where he wakes up. He's getting used to sleeping without a nappy, doing really well but some nights wants to pee in the middle of the night.

He's been pretty grumpy the last few days, hoping it's related to the MMR jab he had last week.

Master T seems to be scratching his forehead in his sleep. It's left him with a real sore patch right between his eyes. We try and keep his nails short, but that hasn't helped. I think we'll put socks on his hands for a bit and hopefully that'll help clear it up

That sounds sore ptr_rnr. Hope it clears up and the socks help.

We have some rough nights the last couple of weeks, the wee man had a cough that would wake him through the night. It seems to be better now.

He's only had two accidents in his bed since we removed the nappies at night. Not bad for the first month.

He's also being really slow in the mornings that we need to get out the door. Takes ages to eat and drink and then is grumpy getting dressed. I wouldn't care if I didn't need to get to work but I hate being really late especially as I am busy.

Checking in as a parent of small children! I'm only just getting back into running since my youngest was born... and she's now 2 and a half... she supports me by loudly protesting about being left with her dad and sister when I try to leave the house for a run. But she likes it when she's allowed to slam the door behind me when I leave, which she finds hilarious :)

That sounds funny and so much like a two year old.

My little boy is almost 5 now and we are preparing him for school. He doesn't mind me going out for a run, he's always allowed me to go. He has lots of fun with his dad.

Got something to say?

Not sure how many new parents there are on here but I wanted to see. This thread is for advice, support and general chat for parents with babies, toddlers and younger children. Feel free to post a little about your family and moan if you need to 😉.

I have a three year old boy, he was born prematurely and is tiny for his age. This doesn't stop him though.
