Thanks for the encouraging words, Bowman ๐ธ๐ช. I'm totally.with you on what you say. I've always enjoyed a run but never ever been consistent for very long or ever really pushed things. Off to make some subtle life changes and to make this a little bit more of a priority - and see what happens๐๐ |

Mostly easy with a view to gradually increasing mileage before I start adding some sessions. I suppose where I am in terms of a standard, I'm in about 25.30 -26.00 5K shape. |

Hopefully good surprises๐ Hopefully, just by being consistent for a.couple.of months should.get me back to the best.I've ever been ( which I know in my heart is not the highest of bars) then push on from.there and see what happens. |

TBH while sub-3 could reasonably be in the range of most young keen male runners, sub-3 past 60 is a tall order and only a very small number achieve that. As Bowman says, you can certainly improve steadily over many years if you start running more seriously, but I'd take it stepwise and see what happens without necessarily setting an ultimate goal that's too far off at present. If you build up (gradually) to a daily run (and also increasing the distances, again gradually) you'll find yourself getting faster and hopefully enjoying the feeling more and more. |

I agree with jdawayinamanger enjoy the process of improving and seeing where that takes you rather than fixating on goals that are likely a long way away. Good work rhb hopefully a fairly comfortable run. |
