I received a weighted hula hoop for Xmas. Does anyone find these useful for core? Or are they just another risk to my living room ornaments.

I did all 3 this morning in the new Garden Shed/Mancave/Gym. Loving it and we've not even got it fully fitted out yet.

I have a weighted hula hoop. I don't have enough space inside so use it outside in the nice weather. It should help support a strong core but not sure if it's enough on its own. unless you are fab at it! I quite like Joe wicks abs workout m.youtube.com it's quite quick and can definatley feel it the next day

The shed is coming along and I've now got things sorted to be able to do a good 40 minute strength and core session followed by a 25 minute stretching session. I'm managing that 3 times a week for the last few weeks.

Good work in the shed Nellers. I'm always impressed by people who can train at home. I use the gym mostly because I want to be in the gym. I hardly ever do core at home! G

HG, I've never been a member at a gym. I've always felt a little bit intimidated working out in front of other people. I'm a bit solitary. With my Achilles in the state it's in, though, I've got a membership for the pool and it includes gym usage as well. I'm thinking I might give it a go. Also, I did another 45 minutes of strength and core work this morning in the shed, and a 30 minute stretching routine. |

Ooh, this was a good thread (even if I do say so myself). So who's doing a bit of stretch, strength, conditioning at home at the mo (Nellers in his shed can keep going - I am missing the gym ) G

I'm going to do the done Fetch thing by jumping in at the end of a thread and not reading back etc. Has anyone got a link to a *short* (<30min absolute max - preferably 10mins) core strength routine that can be done with minimal/no equipment? Ta. |
