IMO it's been a complete farce and a witch hunt. USADA even broke their own 8 year rule and gone back 17. If you're going to clamp down then go for all the cheaters no just one. To me USADA has just come over as thugs.

Would have been good to see LA do the Ironman.

Yes. I guess USADA will ban him and WADA will uphold it.
I think this is a long way from over though. I doubt Lance has just given up. I don't know what he will do, but I doubt he just goes and sits by the fire and says its all over.

LA said he's given up on the legal battle and is going to concentrate on his five children and his charity.

A slight tangent but...

Lance claims he is not taking this further as he wants to protect his family and has had enough of fighting. However, if you read the actual statement his lawyers gave to USADA, it mentions none of that, claims that Lance is not taking it further because of the jurisdictional issues, and, completely at odds with Lance's own statement, states that any attempt to ban him or strip him of his titles will lead to court challenges.

So contrary to what he says, he fully intends to fight on, just not in relation to the evidence.

Sorry but that stinks.

They didn't break the statute of limitations as they can't legally break it, however there are conditions where the statute of limitations no longer apply.

USADA is US so will only go after US cyclists, it is up to other national doping agencies to go after their dopers.

So the man himself has just tweeted that he is looking forward to his race tomorrow.
Does this ban apply to everything?

If he were for instance to turn up at the Luton Marathon would they have to turn him away?
Is it only things that bring prize money which is pretty much everything, even if the money just consists of a £20 voucher for "Berts Running Shop and Slaughterhouse")
