Paula's comment of 'unbelievable' - based on margin of breaking record. If you're going to hoist her on that petard, remember that she broke (and held) the women's world marathon record by a greater percentage margin and no woman has yet got within three minutes of her best time (equivalent to 40s over 10k, or 0.4s over 100m) |

Sounds like we might found out who Luigi is soon: cyclingweekly.co.uk The three it was alleged on velorooms forum it might have been are Flecha, Dekker and Cancellara, but circumstantial evidence points away from Cancellara and towards the other two: velorooms.com |

Also Tyler Hamilton is the source for the identity of Luigi (so credible), but never gives any backing as to why he should think/know this, he had very little dealings with him.

Looking forward to it! I'm tired of the hypocrisy and double standards in the media - including (and sometimes especially) to our own athletes when we castigate other nations (often correctly) routinely. |

Dekker came forward and co-operated with the anti-doping agency in 2013. Sources at the time said he was "Luigi". forum.cyclingnews.com However internet forums decided it was a "conspiracy" to protect a more famous rider (ie Cancellara). Here's the bit that connects Tyler Hamilton to Cancellara: uk.sports.yahoo.com Smoke and mirrors? Seems like Cancellara was the "abused" rider by the Americans. Doesn't 100% say why he was abused, but guessing drugs related. However the assertion that the whole nickname "Classicomano Luigi" pertains to a classics rider who was a client of Luigi Cecchini seems linguistically a bit dubious. Classicomano translates as classic hands - which could just refer to a rider with good bike handling skills. Anyway it's no clearer, just plenty of rabbit holes to disappear down. Only a DNA test will show for sure. |

Kinda bored with the Mo wankfest love-in. Wish journos would actually ask the proper questions about Jama Aden, lying about his whereabouts and Salazar. Instead of doing the easy isn't Team GB wonderful bit. It isn't just Mo, but there's so much stuff out there that it all needs tearing down... |

I agree. It may indeed all be above board. But there are too many questions.

TB - I don't know if this makes it better or worse, but there are British sports journalists who know that there are questions to be asked of Farah. But they feel that they can't, rightly or wrongly. Irish journalist Ewen Mackenna tried - no-one followed up on Mo's evasive non-answers. But then Mackenna got congratulated for asking such a question later on by Brits. balls.ie |

TB - I agree, both Farah and Sky maybe totally above board, but both have been evasive at the very least, told lies or half truths, when transparency would have been better, and enjoy squeaky clean status which means IF there is ever a reckoning, it could be of Lance Armstrong like proportions.
