Nutso Lazytoad!
L10 aww thanks for asking, it seems not much different from my old place but different people. Still finding my feet at the moment but sure I will bed in. Whatever happens I will be a better pm from being there so it’s the right move. Sounds like your job was the right choice for getting you out of the bad situation, hopefully you can sort something out 😊
LG take it easy on that foot, hope the injection works

Deco I shall cross my fingers they make the right choice for you.

Sorry to anyone I missed and sorry for being awol, I broke my little toe a week ago 😑😑 ffs so no running. Every time I seem to get somewhere I do something silly!

I've added some of my times for April. If I improve between now and the end of the month I'll update my listings :-)

Lovely run in the sunshine this morning. I've graduated to R3/W1 and found it quite challenging, but it was warmer than I'm used to so that probably didn't help!

Evening all, fab day here today again, no run to report today, went to hairdressers this morning and came out looking all glam. Then did a pile of gardening wearing a sun hat! Hair not so glam now! Will be running tomorrow and plan to try and go out earlier when it's cooler.

Glad the job is going well Nutso, sounds like a good move.

I have had a better week at work in that I have been busier - it's like they have all just discovered they have a training manager now and I am getting work chucked at me left right and centre (having been a bit bored to start with). Still trying to figure most of it out on my own but I am making progress.

I also got a phone call Friday from a manager of another section asking me to apply for a job vacancy he has. I wasn't sure what to do but as the job advert was closing that day I quickly did an application and can think about it in the meantime. I would feel bad leaving current job so soon but I have had some doubts about this job and so thought it best to just apply and find out more about it, it would be quite different to what I have been doing all these years. I wish I could just be settled and focused on a job I enjoy. Or win the lottery and then I can focus on my running :-)

Oh dear Nut, that's not good, how did you do it? Just as you were making progress with your half marathon training. Hope you heal quickly, you'll have enough time to train for September. :(

Good to hear that the new jobs are going okay.
Sorry for those of you on the bench.
Just taper madness for you now LG, hope the foot holds out well on the day for you. ;-)

dec, I see you were in my neck of the woods recently, was it a Scout camp on Brownsea? I don't think I'll go over there to pick your flowers though. ;-)
Well done on your first marathon HC. medal

My skiing for the year's finished now. I had a lovely week in France last week with my sister. I ran twice while I was away but really struggled with the altitude and breathing so gave up. We had a pool though, so I got 3 swims in.
I've now done 3 runs since coming back and although I seem to be walking quite a bit, especially the hills, I'm quite pleased with my progress so now think that my half marathon in 5 weeks will be a possibility. :)

Today was intended to be a run day ...

I've been exhausted* for weeks and fell asleep, for hours, waiting for it to cool down a bit :-o :-( (* Blood tests on Monday, follow up tests if needs be :-) )

I'm currently trying to kick my own arse into doing a quick and dirty 5k on roads/pavements. Not nearly as nice as the trails I've been hitting recently :-(

I came back from my hols and got on the scales on Monday morning and I;m the heaviest I've ever been in my life. :-o I don't think this is helping my running too much and my belly is really annoying and gets in the way when I bend over. ;-) I shall be home for a while now and I'm trying to eat sensibly (mostly). I got on the scales today and after only 5 days I'm back down 1.4 kilos already. :) If only losing weight were that simple, but it's a good start.
