Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well done folks! No exercise for me as I’m still on the bench so I froze my arse off watching stock car racing instead.

I loved watching the motor racing (especially the Reliant Robin race - hilarious) but at this time of year I can’t get warm outside if I’m not moving around, even if I wear every layer I physically can.

Well done Nutso 😀pleased to hear your feeling better MM Frag hope get off the bench soon. My dad used to have a Reliant Robin when I was very young I loved it!

Right done my long run yesterday was feeling amazing. My first longrun I've done alone for years and I was smashing it! I paced it brilliantly and was gradually getting a little quicker if anything fir no increase in hr. I kept talking to myself out loud to make sure I wasn't over doing it....... Then boom I turned my ankle 3/4 mile from the end. It was so painful I called CB to come and get me. Because I was only 0.25 mile along the road he came on foot! Anyway gently walked home iced etc and doesn't seem to bad to say. Popped out for 2 miles this morning check it out. It seems okish but wouldn't want to run on anything other than flat tarmac atm.

In answer to 'is the PT better or just different routine' We change the programme every six weeks or so depending on how I'm doing so it was the same routine. He's the owner of the business and also a movement coach so seems to have a lot of knowledge on how to 'tweak' things for each individual. He is definitely better but then I also train with three times a week at bootcamp so maybe I just need to suck it up for a bit.

I'm 17 miles off my target now for my 75 miles for the month. Need to hope ankle behaves 🤐

aww Nutso, that'd dragging on - hope the early night and vapour rub helped.

EB - hope it's nowt serious with your ankle. Hopefully you can incorporate what the boss PT showed you into future sessions for a better workout, and mention to your PT "we tried this last time" etc. I know if it was me I'd find it awkward asking to change to a different PT at the same gym but you should do what you think is best for you.

Oh dear eb, hopefully it's not too bad.

Last time I turned my ankle I managed to carry on running after a few minutes and could feel it for a few weeks but it didn't stop me from running, fortunately.
Glad you had such a good run on your own. It's nice to run with other people but you then have to try to run to their pace. In retrospect, I think I like running on my own more than in a group.

First SAP back and somewhat slower than previous efforts ... currently top place :-)

Meds seem to be having good effect :-)

Quick healings for those in need ~ having been benched for most of the year, you have both my sympathy and empathy.
