Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The third worst team in the competition have narrowly beaten the worst and second worst. There won't be many points to come

Best thing about the game was the 2x 20 phases where England defended at crucial moments and didn’t cough a penalty

Two games for the purists today

I think England looked pretty solid to be honest. Nothing spectacular, but plenty to build on.

Scotland were very unlucky, but strict letter of the law and all that. There was no completely unequivocal evidence of grounding. Highly likely but not conclusive. So had to be given as no grounding.

Until or unless (and I'm not advocating this) we have some kind of line sensor inside the ball or literally dozens of camera angles, from which some kind of AI simulation can cut out hidden bodies, then you're always going to have a chance of "no clear view".

Of course, they'll write "Scotland were unlucky" on my grave, but 'tis the life of a Scotland supporter! Still doing OK for a nation of 5M vs. and England or a France, imho. Of course, not doing as well as a NZ or Ireland!

Will Ireland Italy be a bit of a rout? :-) G

Italy never seemed to be able to apply any pressure to make life anything but very comfortable for Ireland.

Rout was right. Poor Italy. No lack of effort, but just errors in execution and Ireland pretty clinical. Italy might have a decent chance against Wales or Scotland. :-) G

My Granny always said cheats never prosper, but it seems she wasn’t always right about everything
