It was the ITV coverage specifically flanker on Sunday. I completely agree, there have been plenty of very balanced commentators over the years. G

I like the multi-cultural partisan commentators you get at 6 Nations. Mostly they manage to be at least occasionally objective about the other side as well. The only one I really couldn’t abide was Jeremy Guscott because he was so parochial about England and utterly dismissive of everyone else. But I think he’s been punted now.

I agree that in the beginning Brian Moore was very biased and only ever talked about how England were doing. But I think he got better over the years and I was impressed that he learnt to be a referee so at least he had some idea of the rules!

I find that Brian Moore was more openly critical about England than any opposition side.

It wasn't that he wasn't critical of England, ER. But in his first couple of years he would hardly mention the opposition at all, even when they were playing well. Everything was in relation to what England were doing, good or bad.
Laws not rules? I've learned something today

Think that just talk England was of its time, when audiences were expected to expect it just to be about England.
Thank chuff it's changed.

BBC also don’t have rights to England home games which might impact too
