There is usually plenty of parking on the riverside (short walk to the start) - can be expensive and take plenty of change for the parking machines. It's much better getting there now the race starts at 9 as less busy. They used to start the race in the afternoon which was a nightmare both interns of queues to get into the town and trying to park, and also the freak heat wave which often coincides with this race! I am sure they include parking info / maps in the joining instructions. The ideal option for price and convenience is the park n ride which is on the outskirts off the A46 but I don't think it operates early enough on a Sunday morning for the race start.

I've not had mine yet, but then I only entered early last week so wouldn't have expected to. Am surprised they are sending the packs out so early, I wouldn't have expected it until the beginning of April at the earliest! More time for it to get lost amongst the paperwork!!

There are 2 - there is onethis coming weekend at the 'Shakespeare Raceways' which is a series from 5k to marathon - on Sat 15th March. However, I think everybody on here is talking about the main 'Rotary Shakespeare Marathon / Half Marathon' which is on Sunday 27th April (I am sure Jigs and Mrs Jigs are doing the mara / HM on 27/4 too). So I think we are all doing the same event - hence why I am not concerned about receiving a race pack yet!! I hadn't noticed until you said that that they are both calling themselves 'Shakespeare' and agree it's confusing!
