They advise no wheelchairs - but it's because of the course profile rather than the surface. I think it's all road, but there are some long stretches of tough uphill. You would have to take it up with the organisers.

What wr has forgotten to mention is that his run left him struggling to walk, after he had sat down to have a cuppa and welsh cake after!!! Karma I call it.

I have just about remastered the walking thing. Running will have to wait for tomorrow.

Hey Mick - Rhayader is 'interesting' - it has a 940foot climb from mile 2.5 to mile 6 (from my garmin from last year) , then undulating and yes it is all road,
Hey Wild Rover - have you not done Rhayader - if you cant remember its all road, or have you erased the memory? Last year doing it for the 2nd time was far better than my first experience , knowing what to expect !

No, not done Rhayader. I only do over HM when building to Full Marathon.............and this is only the second time I've done that. First time I did it all on solo LSRs - this time I'm building in a few runs with others / races. Would be doing Rhayader, but due to the timing of it I will be doing San Domenico 20 instead.
