sd20.org.uk It's from Merthyr Tydfil. Roughly 7 miles down the Taff Trail, a 6 mile loop, then 7 miles back up again. The locals seemed suprised to see anyone doing something healthy, let alone at that time on a Sunday morning. A few got brought their cans of lager out to drink while they watched. Last year I marshalled, this year I'm running. (If you look at the photo called "Course 2", I think the shadow on the right not holding a camera is me - the other one being The Saint) If you fmail The_Saint he can give you more course details than I can..........I've only seen one small stretch of the route. |

Hi everyone, how's training? I think I'm pretty much on track, have missed a couple of 5 milers over the last few weeks but in the grand course of things I don't think it'll do too much harm. Oh, and today I started practicing my aeroplane arms for when I cross the finish line. It amused my neighbours, if nothing else! |

I missed my scheduled interval session yesterday as my feet were still sore after Sunday's 18 miles. So I'll do that tonight and drop the 9 mile slow run scheduled for today. Work getting in the way too, how dare it!!! |

PaulaMc - I wouldn't worry about a couple of missed runs with all the miles run and to come, it will be fine. For me just concentrating on long runs for endurance at the mo and that seems to be going well, hadn't thought about my finish pose - but aeroplane arms may be the way to go, but i'll practice indoors.

I think I owe it to Foxy Davy to at least try the arms, if he's managed to pace me for 26 miles!! He's the master of the aeroplane finish, I understand ![]() |
