I booked the train for my Easter London trip which requires THursday to Tuesday travel cos track works and er £300. To be fair that is 1st class cos i fancy relative peace and quiet if trains gonna be rammed with limite travel that weekend. Going down for war of the worlds at the O2 on the sunday.
Walked to work today and then home as feeling tired so didn't fancy sleep running home.

Ian - good planning. You don't want or need to waste training time tapering for a half or even a full at this stage.
That's a good deal on the train fare.
Keith - living the high life. Why not treat yourself. 😀

Well i used it when i went down for the NFL to trial it I can afford it and i had breakfast at my seat before we had even reached Penrith just which is 20 mins into the journey. Doing same for my March trip as well cos why not and i can afford it. Just need to look slightly less hungover on way back to avoid being asked are you in the right bit this time.
I'm either too old or too young for a railcard alas so cant do savings there.

Keith - exactly. Your money so you spend it on whatever pleases you.
I do, I like my 4 star hotels 🥰
Lol at looking wrecked for the journey home. Perhaps a pair of sunglasses may hide some if the weekend's damage 😎

I'll be spending a very large amount on Lego later this year if the rumours are true. Supposed to be a new Death Star from Star Wars with a nominal price of $1000 which will be £1000 probably. The current biggest one cost me £450 5 years ago. There is also meant to be Star Trek Lego later this year too starting with the Enterprise D version.
Hotelwise i generally am perfectly happy in a Premier Inn or more usually Travelodge. I dont require much in the way of fancy rooms.

Keith - just as well you don't need the pricey hotels with that Lego to buy.
I'm very happy with a Travelodge or Premier Inn but not really viable for my Irish trips. The new Premier Inn in Cork is only a few euro cheaper than my 4 star hotel, and I know it's not that good as I stayed there when it was a Jury's hotel.

We have a table seat, and it starts at Liverpool so will have no issues getting a good spot etc,I thought it would be really busy last year but it wasn't too bad,it usually depends if there's football on and people travelling for it.
