Big G - good session yesterday, are you replicating what would have been the Trotter's session last night?

Always sobering to see the emergency services in a situation like that.

Not long ago I ran past a house in Kerswell with the murder investigation crews there. It turned out that it hadn't been a murder at all.

Surely they'll keep your asthma meds the same as you've been doing so well.

Big G-All the beat runners have asthma 😉

Shades-6 miles isn't too bad to be behind, not ideal but not horrendous.
Legs are a little tender today, but not too bad. I will go for a run after work and see how they are then.

Ian - No, 6 miles isn't a huge shortage, just annoying. This time of year we just have to expect bad weather. I'm hoping that we have little or no ice in February 🤞

That's pretty good about your legs today, obviously getting used to the hill work.

Shades, I did the same session as they did, both this week and last week. Just to inject a bit of pace really.

Ian, yes, that’s true!

WP, well done for getting out.

After asthma clinic the chap came around about the damp. He needs to come back early next week with someone else to properly measure up and quote for the work that needs doing.

Then I went out and did a MAF test. Paces were 8:40 8:37 8:41 8:49 8:54. Not totally perfect in terms of cardiac drift, but it’s not bad and all under 9s, which is good for me. It was pretty good conditions - a slight headwind in one direction - and I thought I may as well do it today as may not get a chance before Seville if weather turns again. 7 miles in total, with getting there and back.

WP - I'm not surprised you had ice too today, but at least you managed a run.

Big G - quite nice mirroring the Trotters speed sessions, takes away the 'what shall I do ' dilemma.

Very good MAF test, especially as you ran longer this week and a speed session last night.

About 2+ years ago I was changed from 2 pumps to one that does the same job well it was just take away ventolin and keep using my main pump.

About This Thread

Maintained by Shades
Back in December 2005 I started a thread on Runner's World offering a marathon training plan on 3 runs a week. I had my own running club at the time (Womens Running Network) and I had successfully trialled the training plan when I took a group of girls to Dublin to run their first marathon.

Over the years the thread has evolved into a chat thread, with a bit of training advice, race reports, for predominantly marathon runners.
