It's nothing to do with Vindaloo!
the big one is 42 miles with a 24 hr cut-off for finishing. A real mountain ultra with some big climbs and great mountain trail running.
I think I've got a link to a report on it somewhere. Will dig it out.

I live near Oban
All this talk of ultras reminds me I have the lingering idea of doing the West Highland Way race at some point, or at least the Devil O' The Highlands 43 mile part of it.

Yeah, thought WHW would be a good one for my 40th - gives me a good 8.5 years to train!
Would definitely be up for lift sharing etc to races in remoter parts (i.e. outside Glasgow!) - there are only so many races through industrial estates a girl can cope with

I blame you flanker
If I'm to do the WHW race before I'm 40, I only have 3 more years Think I'd do the Do'tH first then see if I survived. Failure to survive would rule out the WHW.
