Islay half's meant to be fab - has a Ceilidh in the evening too. Thinking about that or Mull this year.

The Islay half is the week before Mull, yeah?
I wonder if I could persuade She who must be obeyed.

I've just printed off an entry form for Buchlyvie. Although it doesn't fit in with my LSR for London training I can always use it as my 'x-training' for the weekend (one x-training day and one LSR)... d'you think that would work?! 10k yesterday and now off to do 11m, so we'll see if that works...

Debstir, do you use it as a training run or do u actually race it? I'm going to have the same dilemma with Inverness Half in march (I'm doing flm this year), but I usually do my long runs on a tuesday, and have sunday off, (owing to the fact that I often have a lads night on a saturday) so I'm going to re-jig the schedule that week and perhaps use it as the kinda long run, but will try to keep weekly mileage as scheduled, (also planning to run it 70% of max hr!)
