I chatted to another woman all the time and told her I didn't see why people would run faster just for a time, not realising that it's frowned upon to chat to people in "shorter" (Ahem! 10k is a looong way! People doing anything longer are just loonies.) races. Afterwards, I went into town and did some sightseeing. A nice day. (I'm almost tempted to ask what day it is and if I could come along on the road trip without running. ;-))
