Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It is that. And the hill gets steeper each time.

Are you scarred Ian?! ;-) I have to say, Pittencrieff Park (The Glen) in Dunfermline is lovely, the team are great and the runners are all fab. But I hate that hill. And by the end I hate it 3 times as much!

I don't mind a multi lapper though. Portobello is really tight though, esp if, as you say, numbers there are on the increase. Great to see the number of events and participation continuing to grow. :-) G

Woohoo, I’m off to the Polkemmet trial run tomorrow after Vogrie. Have said I’ll run or can volunteer if they need me. Who else is going?

That’s a shame, but not unexpected. There’s potential for a well run, perhaps locally organised, event to take its place.

I’ve no idea how the economics of this sort event pan out, but it’s disappointing they’ve decided to bail out.

I have just spent a day with someone great run staff and they never mentioned it - although i think that way above their pay grade. They were actually happy with the way Stirling went this year so I am surprised by news.

Have heard rumours about other big races that councils are reluctant to co-operate by offering traffic management which has to be then contracted out at massive expense.
