Inverness half is full too. I had pretty much decided against it anyway due to lack of training, but it's now out of my hands. Still, better than last year when I entered it and then didn't run for the same reason.

Tay 10 has filled up already too. Good to see lots of well attended races.
How was Falkirk ultra? Both female 1 and 2 are Fetchies - ionamac and clairevmc though I don't know if they are still logging / posting in here.
Went to Vogrie parkrun on Saturday. What a lovely park and beautiful venue in the snow and sunshine! G

The first few hours of the Falkirk Ultra were very bad weather, sleety showers and a strong breeze. A lot of the paths in the park were icy. Falkirk parkrun had been cancelled the morning before and it hadn't thawed much.
Two CH winners at the weekend, Iona (as you said) and Isobel Burnett (not a fetchie) winning the FV60 at the Masters XC at Hawick

I did the Falkirk Ultra... weather didn't seem quite as miserable compared to last year, though the slipperiness underfoot was a challenge at times! Pleased to have completed at least a couple of miles more than last year and I lost count of how many times the awesome James Stewart overtook me!

I thought IonaMac was a Wee County? Is Carnegie a recent move or have I got her mixed up. Well done Izzy B too (she often wins age category, I think?)
Anne W from Kinross was first V60 at Forfar, if we're trading club wins Soapy!
Ultras don't get cancelled for a bit of snow and ice, like a parkrun. The season can change between the start and finish of an ultra, after all (I swear 'was so at WHW 2012!) G

Well done Soo Did you cycle over and back, SoaPM? I thought you were running it.
Tay 10 sold out in under a day as well? Too much FOMO going on. It's good for the clubs, and the lucky winners of places; but I don't think it's universally good.

I walked round a lap of Falkirk ultra in the other direction to the runners and it was a mix of surfaces & gradients with some prerty treacherous icy stretches thrown in for a challenge. That was about 3-4 hours in where it was still sleeting a bit but warming up later on. Seemed like a really good atmosphere and loads of folk running/walking all different speeds. Jane’s was lapping in about 28 minutes I think, looking very smooth.

Sunday was to have been my first solo time as RD at Inverleith parkrun - I ended up having to find the cancellation button!
