Roads tend to be next to farm fields so if its windy you get stuff blowing off (so remember glasses if you wear contacts). Can be hot given the time of year. Very well organised and friendly local club race.

I would agree with JRitchie. Also I got one of my most useful race mementos from Forfar 10k, a running shoe bag which has been used loads. A good race.

Small field and a history of taking the leaders (including Laird :-)G) the wrong way. So you might want to take a copy of the route map ;-). I have a picture somewhere …

Not for the first time since the race, obvs. USP: race route goes through a haulage yard. You are not lost at this point, even though you might wonder if you are. (I had hoped to run it actually, but nowhere near trained. There is a 7K as well.)
