Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hey folks, am moving to Forfar and having a baby in next month, once thats out the way im itching to get back running. Can anyone recommend some routes in and around the area please. I know the Loch and Balmashanner Hill but thats it. Prefer off road, woodland / trails type runs but anything thats quiet would be ace :) thanks

In the Forfar area I've only ever ran the Forfar Multi Terrain Half race - which takes in both of these I think.

It's organised by Forfar Roadrunners, and they also organise a few other races in the area and seem a pretty active club, you could maybe join them and I'm sure you'd soon find lots of routes with them.

Thanks Gus, put a post on their Facebook page. Hoping to find a few decent routes and hopefully some new running partners ;)

Forfar you are a short drive from the Glens to run in. Clova is one of my favourite places.

Harris half earlier, tough shift, big hill for four miles. Great scenery, would highly recommend.

Falkirk Ultra open for next year, for weirdos who like getting soaked in a park for eight hours in February ;-) entrycentral.com

Caithness Half would be very tempting if it wasn't my dad's 80th birthday. Got to love a race where you just rock up, pay your money and run.

I did Falkirk last year as training for the D33, only ran for 26.6.

Thought it was a good, well run event.
