If any Fetchies completed the 7 Hills in Edinburgh today, hats off to you. I did four miles out on the coast and thought I was going to melt into a sweaty Lycra'd mess.

Loads of Harmenies did it. Tough in the heat, but some well deserved iced ciders at the end seemed to have made up for it. One benefit of being a running club whose colours are predominantly red is that sunburn doesn't show up too badly! Well done all who were racing this weekend. G

57.5 Degrees of Pain
K5 Gus - Nairn Half is a fairly fast course but as OC says it tends to be too hot or too windy on the day. Well organised other than the prize giving (as there is a lot going on at the Games it is very low key), with a great sprint finish around the Games field. Plus afterwards you have prime position to watch the pipe bands etc.
However it would be a terrible idea for you to run the race. As you are in my age category and I'm moving all too slow at the moment!
I am keen to run the Killin 10k one year. A course I often staggered around as a young man after too many pints in the Coach House.

Haha, 57.5DoP you've done a 1:22 half this year, I've done that once, about 31 years ago, I'd be happy with a 1:28 sort of time, so you're quite safe if I do decide to run Nairn
Yeah, Killin 10k is a tough wee course - slight change to it his year, it's starting in the park now (where you finish), and doing a loop of the village before heading out on to the Glen Lochay loop, and no out-and-back section at the top of the steep hill any more. Did you use to live in Killin, or holiday here regularly ?
