Indeed Gobi. I haven't ventured into the park itself but the pavements, having been snowed on, rained on and repeatedly refrozen, are generally half-covered in extremely slippy knobbly ice that could just send you in any direction at any time :-(

has anyone else been forced into treadmill training this week or are you all still out braving the ice? I'm too much of a coward to run on it but it looks like it has defrosted today so I maybe dig out trail shoes and give it a tentative run later.

Haven't missed a day due to weather but ran up to Ruchill Park today and it wasn't very pleasant :-( Canal towpath is horrendous out to Speirs Wharf too.

No access to a treadmill, so it's been outdoors adventures for me :-)

I did the JogScotland Christmas cracker race today in Strathclyde park. I wont call it a 5k, because it wasn't 5k!!! It was 6k!!! Really good atmosphere though and I loved running with all the santas.

Cammy
Jogscotland 5km for me today in 22:58, followed the alternative course for the Strathclyde park run measuring it closer to 6km.
Would have been nice if I'd known that before I started the race, not one I'd recommend in future if the same thing was likely to occur.

Yes, Cammy - that was very annoying especially as if they could have found just a further 40m it would then have been a full 6k and capable of comparison.
