Indeed Gobi. I haven't ventured into the park itself but the pavements, having been snowed on, rained on and repeatedly refrozen, are generally half-covered in extremely slippy knobbly ice that could just send you in any direction at any time

has anyone else been forced into treadmill training this week or are you all still out braving the ice? I'm too much of a coward to run on it but it looks like it has defrosted today so I maybe dig out trail shoes and give it a tentative run later.

No access to a treadmill, so it's been outdoors adventures for me

I did the JogScotland Christmas cracker race today in Strathclyde park. I wont call it a 5k, because it wasn't 5k!!! It was 6k!!! Really good atmosphere though and I loved running with all the santas.

Jogscotland 5km for me today in 22:58, followed the alternative course for the Strathclyde park run measuring it closer to 6km. Would have been nice if I'd known that before I started the race, not one I'd recommend in future if the same thing was likely to occur.

Yes, Cammy - that was very annoying especially as if they could have found just a further 40m it would then have been a full 6k and capable of comparison.
