Don't know for definite but I can't imagine any reason why the Women's 10k wouldn't be on. I think it gets launched early January - I remember being coerced into it on New Years Eve last year and not having thought better of it by the time entries opened!

hi tigerlilly, its one of the first I get an entry e-mail about every year so we will probably get one soon. Normally the e-mail is for entry to the 10k but you get the half marathon at a bit of a discount if you enter both at the same time. Shall we cross the finish line together again like this year?

thank you for the updates ladies, much appreciated! I will keep an eye out on entries opening. And I would love to cross the line with you again Jacs...but this time you will have eaten your banana and raided your goody bag by the time I finish as my training/running/mojo is pantaloonies

I know what you mean about lacking the training/running/mojo...I am suffering this too. I blame Xmas time, too much partying and sweeties! I am hoping entering some races and the 'new year' will give me the kick up the bottom I need...

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Excellent job by the organisers of the Ayr Turkey Trot today, especially for a bunch of triathletes ;-). Nice weather for running too so some fast times.

The Belly Is Gaun Tae Get Ye
Always a well organised event no matter what the weather throws at them. A few years ago they ran the races on the beach due to the ice on the path. They are one of the more active Ayrshire clubs also organising a duathlon, a triathlon and two kids aquathlons.

I had a look at the Scottish Running Guide website and it had a date for the women's 10k in May 2013. Hope that helps.
