Well, it's good to see it getting up and running at last, at a third mooted venue. Not so good that it's much further from the actual population than the other two. I think that the suggestion to park at Greenfaulds station and schlep two miles (with an 80m climb) up the hill to the start is ludicrous. Oh well. I might go, as it will be I think my second closest (or nearly so). But, hmm.
Was surprised at the Greenfaulds station parking too, pretty ridiculous.

I wish it well but it will be interesting to see if it draws enough runners and volunteers to be viable.

There are some pretty tiny parkruns in Scotland which seem to survive. Plean seems regularly to be 30 runners, Loch Leven (surprisingly given its location) only 50. Best of luck to Palacerigg Cumbernauld parkrun.  G

*KILLIN 10K this Saturday*
This is probably too short notice but if anyone fancies my place for Killin 10k on saturday then it would only cost £2 for the replacement number on the day and I'd need your details (as below) for me to provide to the organisers to transfer the place. I tested positive for covid last weekend and have been wiped out since.

Davie, I think it's too late to do any transfers. From the event website :-
+ Can I defer/transfer/get a refund?
Deferrals: If a participant is unable to take part they may request a deferral up to 1 month before the event. Deferrals must be used the following year and cannot be deferred for a second time.
Transfers: If a participant is unable to take part they may request to transfer their place to another runner up until 1 week before the event. If the race numbers have already been posted out it is up to the runners to organise exchange of the race number.
Refunds: Can be requested until 1 month before the event and are subject to a 10% admin fee. After this date, credit codes will be issued if the withdrawn place can be reallocated to a new participant. Credit codes are also subject to a 10% admin fee. They can be used against any other event within 1 year.
Make a Request: If you wish to request a deferral, transfer or refund, please email events@tayfitness.com.
