Pam runs
@lin50 I have that battle every week. I even found myself saying just keep going hopefully it was just in my head not out loud.

Did walk up the little hill as I was proud I hadn't walked where I normally do. Time 29.02min.

Sometimes jeffing using distance is akin to fartlek for me... instead of using my gym boss I/we will pick a point in the distance ahead to run it and then similarly for the walk bit. Fartlek for the not so good!
I think jeffing for distance for someone like you Fenners could work well. I guess it's all broadly the same in principle.

What a brilliant park run lin50! Well run.

@steve45 I'm seriously considering it (jeffing for distance) for a 50km race a week Saturday.

The main reason, is that as I tire and slowdown I will be running for longer.

My ability to walk at 4 mph (6.4km/h) is not impaired by distance until I go way further than 50km.

Walking at 4mph is a decent "lick" Fenners R. I can only do that run/walking but as well as currently having long covid I have had a leg disability for over thirty years! The trials of being a human being😂

@steve45 being tall with long legs is an advantage when walking, less so when running :(

😂I'm not exactly short Fenners! 1m 79 with average legs but...I have no reflex in my left lower foot and have severe muscle atrophy in the calf of that leg. Accordingly I don't have a normal push off (I'm unable to stand up on tip toe on that leg) so the efficiency of every stride is diminished. A bloody nuisance factor which has interfered with my running for over thirty years!
Two miles run walk with my wife this morning and managing to run at 10.26 pace for a while. An improvement over recent months.

A steady 30:30 at parkrun yesterday.
8 miles this morning with my jeffing friends, mainly 60:30 for the first 4 then 30:30 for the second half. Not a bad run really, prep for the Great South Run.

Our running club are starting a C25k group focussing on the run/walk method and we’ve had lots of interest. I think jeffing is becoming very popular, with run/walk pacers at a lot of events now.
