A swear word springs to mind Muttley. Hope physio does the magic. My same calf problem was almost five years back and my sports physio sorted it out well, been fine ever since.
I'm still 30/30 this week and will only feel confident when I've had my cardiologist appointment.
Worth checking out of what GlennR says about arm HRM Pam.

I'd use stryd over heart rate. Running to power I find more accurate. You still have the same 5 zones as if using heart monitor

Got a new Garmin recently and was shocked to discover that my heart rate had gone over 180 after a couple of runs. I've now tinkered with the HR zones and replaced pace with HR while I am running. The plan being that if my HR hit 180, I would walk a bit until it dropped irrespective of how my legs felt. As I live in a hilly area, I am also driving to flatter routes for my runs to avoid some additional effort with the inclines.

Surrey Phil In the past, I've seen my indicated HR shoot up to 180-ish, despite knowing it was nowhere near that (if my HR was 180, I'd be in serious trouble), so I'd take that with a pinch of salt.

Yeah, you'd know for sure if 180 was accurate. Damn it though , my max HR (after Max HR test) is now only 161 but I'm beginning to get too uncomfortable at 140....thus the run walk regime which seems to work out well at keeping me between 125 and 135.
I'd like to run to power but don't have the gizzmo!
I've quite got "into" run/walk though and see it as a more viable method over the next decade!

I did a long run/walk Friday evening/night and found that 3/2 worked really well. 23.4 miles in 4:37. And 30+ hours later feel fine.

That's just excellent Pam runs. I haven't done double figures for years! I may never again😂Teriffic doing a pace like that whilst on run/walk too. I'm more than envious.
Heck. ...and that's some distance OTHT! That's about my weekly mileage, well done.

Makes my four milers doing 30/30 somewhat measly!

No run is measly if it got you outside Steve.

My planned 9 miles today turned into just over 3 as it’s raining and I didn’t see the point in getting wet just to see if my legs will take me further yet. Tomorrow is another day and all that

Lip Gloss. Sounds like you have the same approach to running as me. There's no need to be running around when the weather is nasty.

We do this for fun not to make ourselves miserable.

That's one of the reasons I always fail to stick to a plan.
