Pam runs I learning to use my new approach. I am very much if that was on plan I need to do it but this illness/setback/depression is teaching me to look after myself and enjoy instead of endure my running, hence the reason I’m now run/walking longer runs and not doing if I don’t feel like it and trying not to feel guilty about it all. I have enough life stress without hobby stress. |

You're both so right Pam and Lip Gloss. Absolutely luckily I usually have decent weather and probably because I don't currently run far! I loathe the chill and damp of winter which really ruin my running enjoyment from mid November until mid February. I have resolved many times to take my mileage even lower during those periods and intend to this year. I knock out a 1000 a year which suits me. My current run/walk has taken away the angst I was experiencing in trying to keep up a pace which I was able to do just a couple of years ago but has fallen dramatically. Once I've seen the cardiologist I hope to feel confident again but I am very taken with the relative enjoyment of run/walk. I hope the regime continues to hit the spot for you Lip Gloss. And those times continue for you Pam. |

Such continued good runs Pam! I think that's one helluva shuffle for 10 miles🏃 I felt despondent on my 10k jaunt this morning after trying out a bit of a ratio jump from 30/30 to 3 minutes/30. The issue is still my bloody HR rising and not levelling off. Had to reset my gym boss and that felt better. |

Steve45 I understand why with your heart issues you take note of your heart rate. My random average heart rate number this morning according to watch was 166bpm. I'm pretty sure it was no where near that, that's why I ignore it. |

I wouldn't call your pace a shuffle Pam.... that would be all out sprinting for me! My max HR after HR test varies between 159 and 161 and is Red Zone for me☹️🚶!! That was a few months ago and I can't manage anywhere near that now. At a brief 140 yesterday I was on the edge!! Waiting for a miracle!! Five mile run/walk this morning again included a vertical half mile hill which I had no choice but to mainly walk up keeping HR to 130. I enjoyed the run down!! |

My average heart rate today randomly decided on 134bpm. Absolutely no relation to what heart is doing. 🤔 |
