I enjoyed my run/walk of another five miles despite the east wind today! But try and hope as I might my PRE as well as my HR practically dictated that I stick to what is a ridiculously low ratio ie 30/40 . I live in hope!

Great running Pam, well watted too!
That HR can't possibly be right though🤪so you're right to ignore it. Age is still on your side so you can whizz along without concern 😂

I did one of these today. Nearly 5 miles, 4 minutes run, 1 minute walk, throughout. Couldn't have done that distance without the walk breaks.

That's my target for a longer run too... hopefully will do that this week.
Dispensed with walk/run today and ran the whole way for 5k for only the third time this year. In doing walk/run I've kept my aerobic base by keeping my HR at the "required" level.
Well done on a five miler Columba...it makes for a more pleasant jaunt too when there is a walk bit to enjoy!

Indeed yes. I gasp my way from one walk break to the next.

That's impressive speed you got going on there with run/walk.

What ratio did you use? 💪
