8.15pm Narrowly avoided a large group, 30+, of youths clad in black, some on foot, others on bikes without lights that spewed out of the normally peaceful park. Loud firework explosions were probably not unconnected...
Ran the trail past the lakes & ornamental gardens - no brave canoeists on the Marina tonight Nearly legged myself up twice in 5 seconds by the lakes but recovered composure for a longer than usual trip along the beach by the sea. Trail parallel sandhills, then quiet streets home. 4 miles
30 for 30.
One more to go!

Well done swittle.
Day 31 *tick*. Bumped into a friend just after 4 miles and when I started off again, I pressed save instead of resume on my garmin so the run is saved as 2 runs! Doh! Still, ended REDOctober on just under 18 miles this morning and a month total of 171. My legs when I started this morning definitely said no to any more streaking.
good luck to your continuing streak, swittle - it's been fun. Please carry on leaving your run descriptions here, I love them x

Thanks for your support this month. Well done, minardi. The hunt for REDOctober is at an end.
8pm Out with some trepidation, expecting roving bands of young peeps, each armed with a jumbo-sized carrier bag for Hallowe'en swag. A cool, damp night, with the wind from the south. Didn't see a soul, or a dog, for 35 minutes, when I met a cheerful cyclist by the footbridge who told me he'd almost totalled a cat and that the police were rounding up the youths I'd feared after damage was caused 300 yards away.
144 miles this month, 2nd highest for the year.
31 for 31.

Well done Chrisity & Brig & swittle - and you too Gimme for doing as well as you did.
I must admit that my body feels knackered this morning so am really glad that I'm not donning the trainers today!
