Good work, Chrisity.
minardi: as I wrote on your blog, we're down to single figures now! Just keep it going
Day 21: maybe a NW force 5 or 6 last night, making for a more strategic route selection! Met 3 lads at the end of the prom - one was most concerned that I planned to run up the beach parallel to the sea. 7.1 miles
Day 22: still breezy. Over the coastal park to Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre - plenty of gym fans noted, along with 'groups of young people'. I made for the beach, heading towards the leisure centre and leaning against a westerly wind. Plenty of sand on the prom, so I cut over the fields on my way home. 6 miles.
21 for 21 22 for 22

Nice one swittle
Bit blowy out this morning but seems to be getting worse out there! Had a tough run this morning; was aiming for 15, gave up at 13 but so very nearly bailed at 3 so a result really!! Himself has just reminded me that we spent 3 hours jiving last night which probably didn't help!

Yep, your dancing may not have been strictly best for prepping for a LSR! You haven't taken long after your Mara to ramp up the miles.
8pm: Driving wind that I chose to face on the route home. White mares' tails scudding over the Marina, a discernible rumble from the breakers and some unexpectedly deep drifts of sand to negotiate. 4.2 miles.
23 for 23.

Careful swittle - did you see "Savings Lives At Sea" last night when the guy was stuck in quicksand? Re ramping up the miles - I've got one of DeeGee's Maravans next month so don't want to get too out of practise of the long runs! At least they're definitely slow runs!! Day 24 *tick* - just a quick scoot around the block this morning. Strangely enough the first mile was the slowest - could have been something to do with running into that wind!

I've seen it in the past. There's no better warning than the term, shifting sands. It's true that people do get into difficulties on Crosby beach and can sink a long way down but I relay on local knowledge, even at night!
DeeGee's a very active supporter of parkrun but I didn't know he organised longer events too. I ran the Mablethorpe HM some years ago on a rather warm day

I think DeeGee's been doing these maravans for a couple of years now and I've been intending to do one every year. This year is the year but I'm only doing the one - the Sunday, not the Saturday nor both. That way lies insanity
Day 25 *tick* - lovely day for it but my bones were a bit creaky. Time to get some WD40!

Wow Chrisity . I’m hoping to get a 28 day badge in a couple of days and I can’t see me going past the end of the month. Well done
