What are the Wales - England - Australia permutations now (having been through all scenarios for Scotland, including losing both and still going through!)? If they lose to Australia is there any way England can still go through (e.g. Fiji beat Wales or something?) Are Wales def through assuming they beat Fiji or could something spoil the party? So, Ireland or NZ to win World Cup? G |

Some of the scenarios explained here: telegraph.co.uk I can;t be bothered to go through all England's scerarios, as all the realistic ones are dependent on a win Saturday. I have very little faith we can do it. I didn;lt realise that if points are level, then first criteria is the head to head result, then points diff. Wales will be sitting VERY pretty if they got the BP against Fiji, as Australia didn;t, and they have the head to head over England. |

That's my understanding TRO - win head to head first, so that's why I want Japan to beat Samoa, but without getting 4 tries, thank you! Just in case. G

It's all still up in the air :-)G To answer your questions:- - If England lose to Australia they can only go through if Wales don't beat Fiji tomorrow (I think). - If Wales beat Fiji they're still not definitely through. As a loss against the Aussies and two England wins could see England and Australia through, subject to bonus points. |

Ah, so Wales beat Fiji and get the bonus point, does that guarantee them through? I think so. Interesting permutations in that link TRO, thanks! G

No, that would put Wales on 14pts, but England could get 15pts (2wins & 1bp box Uruguay) and Australia could also end on 14pts (beating Wales & a losing bp against England or try no vs Wales)... meaning England top the group and Australia knock Wales out due to the result between the two sides. Of course Wales could also get a BP vs Australia!

Aus name the same team that faced Fiji. England announcement delayed, was 9:30, now midday (TBC). Something cropped up overnight maybe? Here's to a Fiji win later |
