Scotland to make the qtrs?
Re SA they've lost the head to head so would need to accrue more BP's than SA (assuming all 'other' game are won) - SA have 2 BP's, and Scotland 1.
Scotland would need to get a win and a BP vs Ireland, and a win and a BP vs Rumania if SA get a win and a BP vs Tonga to get ahead of them.
They would have the head to head vs Ireland so equal BP's is enough: they would need to deny Ireland a losing BP then get a win and a BP vs Rumania.
Long shot to say the least.....

Well it would be good to go into the game with it still being a mathematical possibility, but it would be a stunning upset to actually achieve it against that Ireland team.

Not going to beat Ireland. It will another Scotland heroic defeat. Might hold them close ish and I'm sure it will be a hard fought game all round. But no hopes or expectations here! G

Years of experience supporting Scotland Fetch. Sometimes I have to not watch, or turn sound off or only watch second half etc because if I watch with hope or expectation, I cause them to lose. I think it's some form of enegy transference force effect thing. G

HappyG - it isn't just your household causing Scotland to falter. Massed expectation from across the land...... I managed to be on trips to the kitchen for three tries during the Scotland v Tonga game! Might need a lot of cups of tea in the next match........ Obviously causation rather than correlation.
