Angus Clydesdale Apr 2023 2:20pm, 5 Apr 2023 26,370 posts	0 Angus Clydesdale Jamie’s team had mixed fortunes over the last couple of weeks. 3 weekends ago we travelled to Inverness to play the cup final that was postponed at Christmas time. They beat Perthshire and came home with silverware and gold medals. Last Sunday we found ourselves in Aberdeen, playing Perthshire again in the finals of the Caledonia Shield. Having learned from last week, Perthshire fielded a bunch of public schoolboys in the backs and were, on paper, by far the stronger team. We took an early lead and held on right up until they scored the final try with 20secs to go. Gutted. Beaten by 3 points. Good matches though. Possibly the last time I’ll see him play as we don’t know what the future holds when he goes to Uni. Whatever happens the game has been really good for him.
