So, been looking at the playoffs. The final round for every team is October 4th.

Bath get an early start on round 21 tonight.

Bristol play their Semi final on Friday, then round 21 the following Wednesday. 3 games in 9 days.

Sale play round 21 next Tuesday.

Wasps play round 21 next Monday.

Ignoring who the opposition are for now, the dates of the games massively favour Bath - and if they win with a bonus point tonight should Sale or Bristol not win their round 21 game Bath will be in the playoffs.

A lot of ifs there though

Let's hope Bath lose then, particularly tonight :-). *Waits for Richmac to come back on this*

Bristol will have to decide where their priorities lie. Cup or top four, and field sides appropriate to that decision. Personally I hope that they will prioritise a top four position and put the second team out for the semi-final.

Lol thanks for that this is where being rubbish early in the year pays off.

So Bristol have Bordeaux, Tigers and irish. Don't see them losing any of those.

Sale have saints and worcs, not going to bother them overly.

Wasps have quin's and Exeter, so they'll get another 5 points

Exeter have Toulouse, Irish and Wasps. Three wins and

Send Wasps away work zero points.

We have Glaws, which we may well choke on and Sarries who are unpredictable. So would rather have Sales run in if not Bristols

A good chance of the playoffs and some overdue silverware. Wouldn't like it to be tainted by people saying it's only because Sarries for sent down or because X & Y for injuries in an extra match, although it's not like football fans is it 😉

Exeter is the big worry for Wasps, yup. If we do make the playoffs, at least we can say we beat Sarries home and away so deserve their place!

As Richmac has pointed out, Bath and Wasps have harder matches but more recovery time. What that means with weakened teams is anyone’s guess. Leicester, Northampton, Worcester and London Irish have largely been on the beach for the past month.

Bristol I reckon will go for both tournaments.

Bath’s pitch I think would really benefit from summer rugby. It’s probably been their strongest performer since the restart
