I liked the sky article “RL for football fans” that compared us to Newcastle United. I can see what they mean.

I’ve been following Batley since I was 9. I live in the midlands now and don’t have sky so looking forward to Saturdays game on 4. I get to see very little proper rugby now.

I'll have to throw my hat in as an occasional Giants fan, first league game I ever saw was back in 97 at Odsall.
Plan to get tickets to a world cup game, there is a planned one at Hudds in November.
The Ch4 coverage will make it easier to follow.

Batley will have a few games on Premier Sports this season, although that is a paid channel. One of my favourite away grounds to visit, just a nice place to watch the match.
Huddersfield only has one WC game, which surprised me a bit. Quarter final probably featuring Australia, on a Friday night.

I’m a lapsed fan, but will consider looking at tickets for the game in Cov, closest to me, which I note has Australia in. I expect my rugby mates will all go “league, don’t like it” so may be going on my todd.

Batley's is a great little ground with a massive slope!

It is a great ground. Nicely exposed to the elements too. I’ve seen some brilliant games there, plus have suffered with being a Batley fan too.
