That's right, she was a granite miner hand-making curling stones in a tent until well into her 90s. 🤔

That was a great walk - fantastic views of Snowdonia. We had a cloud inversion all day, beautiful sunshine above 2,000ft or so. We had to drop back into the cloud just as we came off a ridge on our backsides. It really felt like we were dropping into the unknown.

The walk itself became a bit of a mare. With no warning at all, my boots just collapsed and the soles came away from the base. I asked the few people we passed if they had any gaffer tape to try and make some running repairs and to tie on the soles, but I managed by using my boot laces and a hoody lace.
