Isn’t there a bit of a misnomer on the core for the route of the month button? What we are voting for is the photograph.

I think that's right. It literally says to vote for the picture in the description at the top. "VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE PICTURE TO HELP US FIND ROUTE OF THE MONTH!" I guess the route and the picture are very closely linked though? A nice picture would have been taken from a scenic route.

Not necessarily. Some of my photos are taken on very dull routes like a dog walk, or on short walks in interesting places. I've only really uploaded the route to add the picture.
