My first photo of the day! Not sure it'll win any awards but I really like that section of the River Wear. Just down from Penshaw Monument and amongst the woodlands and wetlands you seem to get a window into the time when the River was bustling with various quays and the like, with nature now reclaiming what would have been a highly industrial landscape.
