Merry Christmas and Happy NewG(rrr)
Sad news, great poet, fascinating and admirable advocate, and lovely human being (it seemed from interviews and writing). bbc.co.uk Funny, I was just listening to him as guest on Poetry Please the week before last, and he joked "Can't believe you haven't invited me on before!". I wonder if they knew he was recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer? bbc.co.uk |

Such a shame and far too young to lose him. He had so much wisdom to impart and did it in such an engaging way.
