we're struggling to sort out transport arrangement.

is there anyone else who needs transport from finish to start or vice versa where we could work something out so we have a car at each end and share the driving?

Can you not get the train? There are lifts from Tring station to the start and from the finish to Swindon.

For those of us arriving by train, what time are you set to/planning to arrive at Tring? Since we're supposed to book a lift from the station by Friday I'd want to get there at the same time as some others.

I'm arriving at 10:17 at Tring. I asked the organiser what time would be good and he suggested that train would be best. (It's from London, Euston I think.)

I arrive at Tring Station at 11am with a couple of the others - I think Anthony said he will email out the pick up times a few days before but he did say 11am would be the latest due to registration etc.

Two problems with the train. Firstly, it would cost us £60 quid each in train fares, compared to about £10 of petrol, and I am on a very tight budget and really can't afford that. And secondly, to get the train from Cambridge on Saturday morning would mean a very early start, and since I struggle with sleep deprivation, I probably wouldn't be able to finish the race if I got up very early on the day too :-(

I've now managed to get a ride to the start so the train is one less thing to think about. Apart from getting back from Swindon, that is.

Sometime Sunday morning - last year we finished at 11:45am but that was after me having a nightmare overnight, we'd like to be quicker this time around :-)
