*drums fingers for the results*
I'm impatient to see the splits and things! Hope they come out soon. Anyone know how long they usually take?
I do know they have to wait for the splits from all the clubs manning the CPs so it's bound to take a while.
Still impatient tho

Insomniac
I can't believe all you lot are back running. I don't hurt, but I find myself looking for the next seat every time I stand up, cos my legs are tired. Planning to start running tomorrow am.
In terms of taping feet, I recommend Leucotape for staying on - it stayed on for a week while I ran across the desert in Namibia. You can find it on the internet, but not at any chemists I've looked at.
I'm also v impatient waiting for the results, I've been checking the website 2x per day! Does anyone know who the 3rd lady was and what time she finished? I worked out today that the 5th man was the Up and Running runner, who finished over an hour after Andy and I.

I think I'd be tired if I'd gone as fat as you! It's easier for us slower mortals to recover from a gentle jog along the trail...
Julie came 3rd. She's not a Fetchie but does loads of LDWA stuff including the 100 milers. I've seen her at a lot of events this year. Think she took 19 or 20 hours but not sure.
Why do you tape your feet? Seriously - I'm not sure I understand what all this taping is actually meant to do? Am I missing out on something good?
And hope your run went well this morning. I did a nice 9 miles again. How's everyone else doind?

D'oh! I meant "fast" of course! I don't think anyone would use 'fat' as an adjective to describe Insomniac...

I met Julie at Kent 50, she's really nice
Will talk about my foot care later, I'm supposed to be off to the Lake District in half an hour so I really shouldn't be Fetching LOL!
I seem to be recovering amazingly well! I did a 5K last night (club league thing so felt I had to turn up even though I felt tired and stiff), and accidentally PBed, 20:43 But I did take an awful lot longer than you guys...

Fantastic Kinks!
They should rewrite the training schedules:
How to PB at 5K - finish an 85 miler 3 days before the race.

Yes, well done Kinks. Had to laugh at Anna's typo!!!
I managed a 7 mile hill session with the club. Silvershadow (and a few other people) told me I was daft but I had to get the legs warmed up for the first stretches since the weekend. Half IM at the weekend.

Anthony sent out last years results on 4th Sept - but the race was a week earlier last year. So it will probs be late next week... I read in the Newbury Weekly News that the new 12:25 record holder had only run 50 miles in one go previously - would seem to be the way forwards
